A portrait offers the opportunity to empathize with the depicted person. One starts pondering their identity, wondering who they are and what they might be feeling. This connection between artwork and viewer creates an intimate and contemplative experience that transcends superficial observation. For me, it's an exciting challenge to depict these subtle emotions artistically.
